Pineland Parental Pride?

Yuppers! You bet! My 14 y/o DD won a contest! In Pastel chalks. She used a tooth pick to out line and rechalk with definition. The project is 18"x12" and matted on black. The picture really does not show the deffinition and it needs to be burnished? or sealed with something. If you run hand over it you pick up colors, any suggestions? (this is why I am sending her to a VoTech next year) Right now, it is hanging on the fridge, so I need to find a way to keep it good.

Beautiful! They sell a Workable Fixative for sealing chalks. One of my favorites is made by Blair. Check art supply stores.

Misty, congrats to your daughter! She is very very talented! As other ladies have said, they make spray fixatives for pastels. Just don't over-soak the painting; a light spray. You may also want to frame it under glass after the fixative dries.

I use hair spray on my chalk drawings. Spray lightly. The paper will curl up, so you may need to iron it flat again. Frame it under glass before something happens to it. It's so beautiful. Your daughter is extremely talented!
