World Card Making Day; OWH

Today to help celebrate World Card Making Day, Operation Write Home is sponsoring a blog hop. OWH is a wonderful organization of dedicated cardmakers who make cards for our nations troops to send home to their loved ones. You can go here to join us!

In this hop, we were asked to make 'Thank You' cards, using sketches from OWH's extensive library. In addition, I tried something new to me called One Sheet Wonder I was impressed I got 12 cards out of 2 sheets of one sided DP. It would have been 16 cards, but as usual, I messed up on the triangular cuts. I will definitely be trying this technique again,to make any hero cards. Recipe & more below. Click on banner above or link below to return to hop list.

Thank you Seongsook for the cutting chart & tutorial.

Recipe;
White base - A2
Layer 1 - Recollections 'Jewel' cardstock
DP - Echo Park July 4th Pack, generously donated by Kelly-Anne of Scraputante.com to use for OWH cards
Spellbinders & Cuttlebug
Sentiment made in PSPX
Ribbon from stash
'Precious' used to pop focal point up
ATG
*I used the Spellbinders on the background layer for the scalloped cuts. The DP covers the hole, I save paper & no one notices the hole!

~*One commenter will receive a small crafty package from me! Please make sure to leave email addy for contact. Following is nice but not necessary to be eligible.

Wow! I've seen that design, but have to admit it makes my head spin a bit, especially before coffee, lol. But you rocked it! All the cards are wonderful, and I'm in awe of how many cards you made from that single sheet, never minding the triangle mishap! Great job; you're going to make so many people so happy!

Fantastic group of Any Hero cards!! If the only cut you messed up on was the triangle one, Yahoo for you! Just looking at the One sheet wonder sketch is making my head spin, or maybe that's lack of sleep? Thanks for sharing and supporting OWH!
